Yes, he's back, and he's awesome!
Last week my AC connection for my laptop finally bit the dust. It had been going in and out a little, but if I kept still (difficult) while on-line, it held the power connection just fine. But, finally, it bit the big one, and there I was, running low on battery and biting my nails to the quick in anticipation of Internet Withdrawal Syndrome™.

The Wonderful Man just happens to have the right parts, and just happens to have the right tools (*giggle*), and just happens to have the know-how. So, he opens thing up, pulls things out, rewires here, solders there, and... Voila! I have power!
The new connector is metal, instead of plastic. And, for those of you who don't like the "tail" haning off the computer, well, think about it. the point of greatest strain is right where the cord plugs into the 'puter. Kind of a silly place to put your power supply, right?
Anyway, I like it, it works, and I have Power™! And, it didn't cost me $100 and a week at the computer shop.
I really love my husband.
