Dandy Dick Durban... Again

Much has been made of Dandy Dick Durban's speech, including by your's truly. I guess the only thing that really bothers me (well, maybe not the only thing) is why these folks are at Gitmo in the first place. They weren't sunday school teachers, they weren't merchants trying to sell rugs or trinkits, they weren't even just ordinary folk walking down Main Street in Seattle, Washington. They were armed combatants, illegal armed combatants at that and they were taken trying to kill allied forces. Many of those who have already been released. Some, after signing pledges of non-violence have re-offended and again joined the forces of the islamofascists. Stories of such folk can be found here, here,, here, and here. Some of these stories focus on the return, some on those that return and violate their pledge. Let's say that Muhammad Al Marakeesh (a made up name for illustration purposes) is released from Gitmo due to the pressure of Dandy Dick Durban or some other deluded looney lefty who doesn't understand that we are at war. Let's also allow that MAM goes back to Afghanistan and kills a soldier who happen's to be one of the relatives of a member of the looney left and that this can be verified. How would that individual feel. "Oh well, he wouldn't have been so angry had he not been detained." Or perhaps the person would react like Robert Fisk did when bandits robbed and beat him. Fisk blamed the WoT for the beating and said it wasn't the fault of those poor benighted folks. Do you really think that Guantanamo is a gulag akin to Stalin's Gulags? Similar to Belsin-Belsin or Auschwitz? Representative of the Killing Fields of Cambodia under Pol Pot? If it is, it's got to be the only killing field where prisoners of war were released before the war was over (and no, they are NOT prisoners of war, that was a rhetorical phrase). Is it an example of Auschwitz in which the prisoners GAIN WEIGHT? A Camp where Koran's are dispensed, even to those who claim that the Koran authorizes and demands the jihad against the west? I'm confused. Perhaps being chained to the floor and deficating on yourself is abusive. I don't think so, but let's say that it is. How about we just diaper them and when they go poo-poo in their diapers we change and powder them. Pulled their hair out? Self destructive/self injurious behaviors are common in incarcerations. Is that any worse than cutting your child's head open with a knife and taking a picture of it? Is that worse than the "torture room" recently discovered with 4 Iraqi prisoners in it...not held there by US or Allied forces, but by the islamofascists. That is one major problem with the looney left (and sometimes the looney right) is that they forget that words mean something. To get a larger and larger "shock value" they (specifically Dandy Dick Durban) use words that if anyone else had used to their face they would have punched someone in the nose. Look, it's real simple to my way of thinking. I hold no truck with these islamofascists. We do not have the moral sanction to torture because of 9/11, but we also don't have to treat illegal combatants with kid gloves. These are not nice people. They want to kill you and your loved ones and you better understand that. According to the islamofascist, the Koran demands it.
