Veterans' Day, 2005

Today is the day that our country sets aside to give due honor and thanks to the men and women who have so faithfully served their country. Ever since our country was founded 229 years ago, men and women have stepped forward selflessly to stand for America.

They have left home, family and friends to walk on foreign soil. They have shed blood, suffered loneliness and isolation, and done hard work so that America can stand strong and safe. They have been drafted, spat on, ignored and villified - and yet they still step forward to serve in honor and courage.

And so, I stand and salute our men and women - and their families - who have done their duty. I give thanks to Almighty God above for them, and I pray His blessing on them.

Dear Veterans - thank you so much for the sacrifices you have made. Words can never express just how much this country owes you. I make this solomn vow that I will, to the best of my ability, always give you the respect you have earned. I promise that I will raise my child and her children to also give you proper honor.

In my house, your service will recieve gratitude and appreciation so long as I shall live.

God bless you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart!

HAPPY VETERANS' DAY!!!!
