A Carnival of Digital Cameras?

(Welcome, Instapundit readers! I thank Glenn for the link and hope you like what I have to say about my little Sony. For those of you in a Christmas mood, may I suggest my Christmas series? Or for more pics, you can check out my photo albums - left side bar - or my beloved Cat purrs. Thanks for stopping by!)

Well, how cool is this? Glenn Reynolds, the Instapundit himself, is going to put up a Carnival of Digital Cameras. This could be fun!

Well, although I'm pretty much lusting after this Canon, I find that my little Sony DSC-W1 suits me quite well. It's the older incarnation of the DSC-W7 (d'uh) that Glenn mentioned, and functionally they're pretty much the same. Of course, the W7 has more pixels and a couple other upgrades, but from what I saw at the store, it's the same camera, newer version.

I love my little W1! I've had it for about a year and a half, I think, and it goes where I go. It's small enough that it fits - in its case - in my purse. And, no, I do not carry a huge purse! Mine is big enough for my wallet, my camera, and my cell phone, and that's it!

Actually, I really cannot justify the Canon, anyway: I wouldn't use it as much as I use this little Sony. It would be a lot more trouble to carry around. Also, since I have a Sony laptop (which I love, too! It's tough!), I can plug the Memory Stick from the camera right into the computer and transfer the pictures on to my hard drive very very VERY easily! Therefore, for the point-and-shoot family-catblogging-just fun pictures that I take, I must say that

I LOVE MY SONY!
