It's Friday, thank God! Now it's time to relax and enjoy the beauty and grace of the cat, and so we all look for pictures to show off our beloved furry little tyrants. Don't forget to stop by this week's Friday Ark at the Modulator. The Carnival of the Cats, posted on Sunday night, will be hosted this week by Watermark.
Well, on to my contributions!
As you see from the title, I was fortunate enough to catch my Great Furr-Hunters in action with a large and fierce bee yesterday. I have no idea how Ms. Bee got in, or how she's out so early in the spring, but Pixel and Smudge were very interested in her.
Oooooooo, Pixel! What's that? *bzzzzz!* *zzzzzzz!*
I dunno, Smudge, let me look at it... *ZZZZzzzZZZ!!!*
Pixel, can I pat it? It looks fuzzy... And I like its sound, too! *BZZZZ BBBBZZZZZZ!* *ZZZzzzzZZZZ! Bzzzz!* (Ms Bee was very upset...)
They played with that poor thing for ten minutes or so, but never did get stung. I don't know what happened to Ms. Bee, but there was no evidence left for me to clean up....
Maybe that purring you heard wasn't purring at all but an angry bee trapped somewhere in a pussycat's digestive tract. Great series!

Ahh what a cute pix. I have three cats...all mutts and adorable. Georgette, Henriette and Kibby. They are wonderful members of my little family and they keep me company in every corner of the house.

Cute pictures. I'm a big wuss, so I would've freaked out if I saw a big bee like that in my house. It's even worse, because my cats don't stalk and eat bugs for me. They torture them a bit and then get bored and let the bugs get away.

I own a blonde rat who I suspect of attempted tomcat rape. I have pictures on both my AOL blog journal of the same name and one on my blogspot blog. Seek and ye shall find thousands of years of devolution and the blond rat is what you find.

Was it a Bumble Bee? Or something more exotic? Our local wild cat (that I secretly feed) had a nice plump mourning dove for breakfast on our front wheelchair ramp this morning. Left only a pile of feathers in the shade. I wonder if that is his commentary on the small bites dog food that I feed him.

Romeo Romeo wherefore art thou?
Staying up late to talk and listen to Kender the liberal bender show. From a guy who is too old now to feel that Cat Scratch Fever who values more his pain reliever. (crotchity old fart Al wants to know if he can join AARP now?) Lookout now five oh is here. I think I'm gonna need another root beer.

Hey, I'm calling PETA because that looks dangerous for you cats.

How cute! I have no sympathy for the bee at all.
I don't mind when my critters chase bugs but when they get into the amphibians I have to call off the hunt. I hate finding mangled frogs and lizards with not tails, or even worse, stepping on them when I get out of bed in the morning.
The cats must like the show I put on when that happens because, if they can, the spot that I step out of bed is the EXACT place they put their "gifts" at night while I'm asleep. Ugh!
