All across America, families take time out today to say "Thank you!" to moms.
I want to take this opportunity to publically thank my Mom, RHS, for her determination and perseverance in raising me. Mom kept hammering in good, solid courtesy, loyalty to family, friends, and country, and is the reason I am who I am today.
Mom is very much like the "average" person in this country: stubborn, independant, opinionated.... But she's got a heart bigger than Texas, and I always know that I can count on her to shake me up, set me straight, and love me with all her strength.
It is because of her that I know where I stand in God's eyes.
It is because of her that I have a moral backbone, and am proud to be a conservative woman.
It is because of her that I have a guide in raising my own daughter to love God, love her family, and fight fiercely for what is good and right.
It's because of her that I realize I am blessed to live in the greatest country on earth, that I have a godly heritage to cherish, and that I have a duty to pass that history on.
Thank you, Mom. I love you!
(And that's my sister, S, in the black blouse. She's an awesome Mom herself and has two boys who respect and love her... Or Aunt 'Cat will know the reason why! LOL)
Happy Mothers Day !
May God bless and protect you and your family and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Wonderful post. She must be something special after all you are her daughter and she inspired this post! I hope my sons can feel and write something akin to this about myself someday. Hope your day was wonderful.
