Betsy Newmark calls Biden a buffoon. Hugh Hewitt calls Kennedy a buffoon.
I think they're both wrong:
- A clown; a jester: a court buffoon.
- A person given to clowning and joking.
- A ludicrous or bumbling person; a fool.
There is nothing clownish, joking, or bumbling about either of them (although I will grant "foolish"). They have displayed their malice, hypocracy, and ignorance these past several days, without even a hint of eloquence to soften their egotistical screeds.
I would use words more like: barbarian, lout, philistine, cretin, boor, and perhaps even vulgarian.
Because there is nothing amusing about either of these... imbeciles.
For Biden, I prefer "plagiarist" since it's his single most enduring trait.
With Kennedy? Souse. Or perhaps perpetually drunken boor. Liar and baboon (not bufoon) also appeal.
But then, I amthe charitable sort...
;-)
