Raven, you are a blessing to me, and a wonderful cherished friend!
Thank you SOOOOO much for the glorious package you sent: I'm gonna wallow in the coffee tomorrow, and search out the best, most memorable uses for all the lovely, yummy STUFF you sent!
** blushing **
Thank you, sister... I love you a LOT, too!
(Pics below the fold)
Pixel had to check things out first: she wanted to make sure that it was worthy for HER...
But, she found out it was HUMAN yummies, and quickly lost interest. Well, them's the breaks: nothing is perfect *snicker*
And then I started opening things... Of course, the card was the first thing : Please don't tell me you don't know WHO the gift you're opening is from! That's the best part - savoring the love and friendship expressed in the card.
Raven sent a lovely card, full of her personality and friendship.
Of course, I *still* need a pic of her with the quilt I sent her (even though I would NEVER post/publish it without her permission!)...(But I gotta have a picture! It's my salary...!)
And she loves it when I tease her. I am blessed with such a wise, caring lady to be my buddy!
(OOooo - pic taken by the Darling Munchkin!)
Hey, LOOK at all the nummy-yummy-oh-WOW stuff she sent!
Cookbook and Naval history book... (sorry - Darling Munchkin taking pics, remember?)
A window angel...
... I am cleaning off the window over the kitchen sink immediately, so I can see this every day and remember my beloved friend, Raven!
The angel's sign says, "Angels are watching over me!" - and I know that one of them is named "Raven"!
(What the heck is that on my right thumb?! Not paint.... at least, I don't think so...)
Of course, since Raven knows me so well, there's cof-FAY!
(AND a lighthouse mug)
... "Blueberry Cobbler"... mmm! I don't usually care for flavored coffee ("hazelnut creme" - oh, IK!), but this is gonna be delicious...
Raven also sent some scented votives (hel-LO bath time!), some beautiful photo-bookmarks...
And then, of course... there is the ultimate gift...
The darling Munchkin just LOVES the glorious, stylish hair accessories...
And they're even the perfect color!
Raven, my friend, you are a lovely, sweet woman, and a wonderful friend...
You are a blessing in my life, and you enrich me with your friendship and love.
Thank you, sweetie! I love you, too!
Your very welcome friend! My package to you is called "The Scents and Tastes of New England!"-- and I put a lot of effort into it...just like you did with my quilt! That mug- the image is of Portsmouth Harbor, one of my all time favorite places to hang out..the history book I thought David would like...The cookbook is part of a series of which I have all (Winter, Spring & Fall each have their own book)...little bookmarks of my second favorite places-the White Mountains. The coffAY... is a little different LOL but it's good! And yes, the Angel...we can never have enough. Emily suggested I pick one up for YOU as she got serveral. Little candles= blueberry, cranberry, vanilla and OCEAN MIST- totally New England esp. when they're all burning at the SAME TIME LOLOLOL!!!
Don't forget the Irish Blessings. I have a couple more of those little books and I think I am sending them to Kender!!
It's the least I could do after THAT QUILT. I will send you pictures...Kim is taking some. Love you too friend!!!
