I posted "Islam's not for me!" yesterday, and today a friend of mine stopped by and asked if I really thought that I was free enough to have a choice. Here is what I replied:
"Greater is He who is in you, than he who is in the world."
I belong to the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords, who will one day cast this satanic "god" into the eternal pit of fire - and he won't need to exert the least amount of effort to do so.
My Lord and Savior is the Creator of all, the Lord God Almighty, the Lord my Provider, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.
Allah? ***pfft!*** A little Johnny-Come-Lately upstart with delusions of grandeur.
To follow up on that still more, here's a quote from Isaiah that tells it like it is:
Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
Has it not been told you from the beginning?
Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
It is He who sits above the circle of the earth,
And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers,
Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,
And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
He brings the princes to nothing;
He makes the judges of the earth useless.
Scarcely shall they be planted,
Scarcely shall they be sown,
Scarcely shall their stock take root in the earth,
When He will also blow on them,
And they will wither,
And the whirlwind will take them away like stubble.
“ To whom then will you liken Me,
Or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high,
And see who has created these things,
Who brings out their host by number;
He calls them all by name,
By the greatness of His might
And the strength of His power;
Not one is missing.
And here's another relevant passage, from the book of Revelation:
Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Or to put it another way:
The Prince of Darkness grim,
we tremble not for him;
his rage we can endure,
for lo, his doom is sure;
one little word shall fell him.
So gird up your loins, take strength from your Lord and Savior, and sing with the Psalmist:
Whenever I am afraid,
I will trust in You.
In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me?
All day they twist my words;
All their thoughts are against me for evil.
They gather together,
They hide, they mark my steps,
When they lie in wait for my life.
Shall they escape by iniquity?
In anger cast down the peoples, O God!You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?
When I cry out to You,
Then my enemies will turn back;
This I know, because God is for me.
In God (I will praise His word),
In the LORD (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
Nice. You're going to need that faith when government attempts to force you to follow Allah or die. I know which choice I'd make in a heartbeat.

Ogre... What the hell is up with you?!
With this sort of attitude, why don't you just get it over with and shoot yourself?! I don't mean that seriously, of course, but it sure looks like that's your attitude.
I had the impression that you were Christian, too - was I mistaken? Because, although Christ never promised us that the world would love us - in fact, He asserted the exact opposite - He did promise He would be with us, and that evil and sin would be defeated forever.
Get. Bloody. Off. It. If all you can do is preach doom and gloom, with no sense of optimism or confidence in the plan of God (or did you really think He has lost control of history?), then what the hell are you offering?
NOTHING.
I'm wondering if I ought to give you a call and talk to Mrs. Ogre, 'cause your mental attitude is really worrying me!
