Getting back into the swing of things after a weekend can be a bit... busy. Especially when the Monday is the first day of school... Ah, well, that's been weathered and the Munchkin is already diligently doing her math (!!! Geeze, where the heck did this kid come from, and what did she do with my daughter? LOL).
So now that I've got time to actually READ my RSS feeds, I'm noticing that three of my blog brothers have kept on top of Joey-the-Jerk Stanley's associations.
Now I'm sure you remember the list of Joe's clients, right?
- Roscoe Reynolds, State Senator, Virginia's 20th district
- Chap Peterson, State Senator, Virginia's 34th district
- Al Weed for Congress
- Creigh Deeds for Attorney General
- Eric Ferguson for Delegate 2005
- James Webb for US Senate
- Ferguson for Delegate 2007
- Public Policy Virginia
- Change America Now
- Elmendorf Strategies, LLC
- Democratic Judicial Campaign Committee
- (Oh, here's a new one to me) Adam Tomer, candidate for the House of Delegates
Well, Kilo, Ward, and Scott have noticed another important position that Joey holds: Chairman of the Franklin County Democrats (go to Scott's post, and click on his picture to embiggen).
Now, am I correct in thinking that this is a bit of egg on the face of the Democratic Party of Virginia? To have one of their state party officials involved with this sordid affair must be rather embarrassing. I'm sure that virtuous Democrats of integrity and honor would immediately rise up in protest against Joe Stanley's actions and strip him of his chairmanship?
*crickets*
No, I don't hear any DPV officials condemning this action, either.
Like Roscoe Reynolds, Adam Tomer may want to hide his connection to Joey-the-Jerk, but I do notice that Joe's Yellow Dog Strategy link is there, though "hidden."
I am therefore still asking the question: Do Joe Stanley's clients and associates approve or disapprove of his actions in maliciously trying to smear the ODBA using a connection to pedophilia? Does the Democratic Party of Virginia condone Joe Stanley's actions? Will Democratic Party Chair Dickie Cranwell step forward and require Joe Stanley's resignation as Franklin County Chair?
Several days ago both Ward and James Atticus Bowden asked whether there were any Democrats who would step forward. James said:
All Democrat bloggers need to come forth now - condemn this action and disassociate yourself from Joe Stanley.
There have been a few. I thank God for the few!
But Ben Tribbett? *crickets*
Raising Kaine? *crickets*
When the Democratic Party of Virginia, the "big" Virginia Democratic blogs, and Joe Stanley's clients all make no effort to denounce his actions, all I can wonder is: are they really giving their tacit approval?
