For all the negative coverage that Gov. Sarah Palin has received in the past week, it does look like it's boomeranging on the LameStream Media to their detriment.
Not only do most people think that the MSM has treated SaraCuda unfairly (kittipurrs to Kim Priestap at Wizbang!) -
Over half of U.S. voters (51%) think reporters are trying to hurt Sarah Palin with their news coverage, and 24% say those stories make them more likely to vote for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in November.
Thirty-nine percent (39%) also believe the GOP vice presidential nominee has better experience to be president of the United States than Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
- but all the media smears have done is make people more interested to hear what she has to say:
More than 37.2 million people tuned in for coverage of the third night of the 2008 Republican National Convention, which featured Sarah Palin’s much anticipated national debut. Wednesday night’s RNC broadcasts attracted just a 1.1 million fewer viewers than Barack Obama’s record-breaking speech on day four of the Democratic convention. (kittipurrs again to Wizbang! - love those folks! - but from Lori Byrd this time)
And Kim Priestap slides right back in to note:
I know, I know, you're yelling back at your computer, "but Obama had 38.3 million viewers!"
However, you need to keep this in mind: Obama drew 38.3 million viewers on 10 networks. Sarah Palin drew 37.2 million viewers on just 6 networks. If she had those same four additional networks, which were Telemundo, TV One, Univision, and BET, she probably would have had more viewers than Obama's record breaking viewership.
You need to go read the rest of Kim's post, because her next paragraph just twists the stiletto in Obama's gut *snicker* !
(You see why I love the folks at Wizbang!? They always come up with the goodies - and the facts to bback 'em up!)
So all the hype about the scandals, all the attacks the media made on Gov. Palin appears to have backfired on them, and SaraCuda got heard by more people than expected.
Kinda give me warm fuzzies for the old phrase, "What goes around, comes around..."
The msm has totally lost all credibility as objective journalists. I think their journalism degrees should be recalled.
