The 40-year-old "comedian" Jack Black went on the "dark side" during the MTV Awards praying to the devil. Black, who was promoting a heavy metal video game called Brütal Legend, asked the "Dear Dark Lord Satan" to bless the rock star nominees with "continued success in the music industry."
This is one reason why I never watch any of these award shows anymore. I mean, why should I? I think the only award show that doesn't seem to go out of its way to offend Christians (besides the Dove Awards - d'uh!) is the Country Music Awards. Country music appears to be the only genre outside of Christian Music where it's still wrong to bash Christians.
Of course, I see idiocy like this - I mean, asking Satan to bless anything! [rolls eyes] - and I am reminded of Galatians 6:7-8 -
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
God is perfectly able to mete out perfect justice; He is merely being patient until His appointed time.
Frankly, I wouldn't want to be in Jack Black's shoes - I'm far more content to be covered by the Blood and Righteousness of Christ, considering that's the only way to escape the wrath of God...
