This king snake is about 4 1/2 feet long, and we let him go out back byour storage shed so he can gobble up all the mice and such to his tummy's content!

This king snake is about 4 1/2 feet long, and we let him go out back byour storage shed so he can gobble up all the mice and such to his tummy's content!
Isn't that a poisonous/venomous snake? If so, why let it go as it can just come back to the house. If not, I'm with you, turn'em loose so they can get rid of varmints!

Oh, no, Smokey, these guys aren't at all poisonous. This one WAS a bit irritated with my hubby, though, and bit at him. That's rather unusual; king snakes are usually very docile. Plus, that's my DAUGHTER'S hand holding him - you think I'd let her hold a poisonous snake? LOL
