This I pledge:

I pledge to raise my child to show respect for veterans, policemen, firefighters, teachers - all the people who sacrifice so much to keep this country free.

I pledge to pass on the story of our great country, and the courageous men and women who died to keep us free. I will tell her of the heroes of today who continue to raise the torch of liberty for the world to see.

I pledge to teach her the meaning of America: that we believe that people have the right to make their own decisions without a gun to their head, or the threat of torture. She will know that our country has a call to represent the highest and best virtues of freedom.

I pledge to train her to carry on our heritage of liberty, respect, pride, and service to country. I pledge to train her in citizenship so that she will become a strong, independent, and law-abiding citizen who will in turn pass on these values to her children.

I pledge that I will raise her in the fear of the Lord, so that she may stand before all people in confidence and strength.

This I promise to honor my Savior, my family, and my country, and I ask God's grace and strength to follow through.

Amen.

Where I stand

In all the rhetoric of the post-election, I see so many people on the left accusing Bush's America of ignorance, bigotry, religious fanaticism, exploitation, and on and on..... So, I thought I'd post on who I am, and what I believe, as a Conservative Republican (as I understand myself).
